Here is a selection of photos taken by Peter Finger when he started visiting Byron Bay back in the early 70's. They are not brilliant, photographically, but may be of interest in the historic sense. The quality is a bit ordinary, as these are scans of Polaroid transfers from the original slides. They were taken in May, 1974 - a lot has changed since then.
Here's what Peter had to say about the pics:
"Having visited Byron Bay regularly for the past five years, and off and on since 1974, I guess 'Holiday shots' are what I've taken. My wife asks me the same question every time we visit that wonderful part of Australia, that is, 'why are you taking a picture of that?"
