Byron Shire’s premier community gallery, presenting emerging and established artists

Lone Goat Gallery

Lone Goat Gallery is a catalytic space, focussed on supporting ambitious exhibitions by emerging and established Northern Rivers-based artists to stage innovative work.

The gallery is located downtown in the Byron Bay Library building, a short walk from Main Beach - a quiet cultural haven among the hubbub of town.

Our name was inspired by the elusive and last remaining goat of a small herd that once roamed Cape Byron Headland, reflecting the creativity and individuality of the Northern Rivers arts community.

Lone Goat Gallery presents a monthly program of innovative and adventurous exhibitions. Our mission is to nurture and contribute to the development of Northern Rivers artists and visual culture.

Lone Goat Gallery also curates and produces special projects locally and abroad in collaboration with partner organisations and artists.

Lone Goat Gallery acknowledge the Arakwal Bumberbin people of the Byron Shire as the traditional custodians of this land.
