Mullum 2 Bruns Paddle

The Mullum2Bruns Paddle is an annual event held on the Brunswick River, starting at Heritage Park, Mullumbimby and ending at the Terrace Park in Brunswick Heads. There is something for everyone. The day includes a range of events including Challenges and fun paddles, Nippers Relays, Nippers Board Challenge, Paddle Party, free "try before you buy" kayak expo as well as free stand up paddle clinics & hire.

Part of the fun of the day is the Paddle Party held at the finish. Sing, dance, eat, drink and compare stories while you wait for the announcement of the winners.

Byron Bay Bluesfest

With the 2020 Byron Bay Bluesfest cancelled, the 31st annual event is set for 1-5 April 2021

Byron Bay International Film Festival

Held across multiple venues, the Byron Bay Film Festival (BBFF) is a platform for outstanding independent film talent, showcasing a uniquely rich and diverse program of entertaining, inspiring and thought provoking films. It’s a festival that fuses artistry, education and innovation, enhancing our worldview and collective social dialogue through the power and storytelling of film.

The Falls Music & Art Festival

Falls is a multi day camping event kicking off at the end of December in Lorne, Victoria + Marion Bay, Tasmania +Byron Bay, New South Wales. The festival brings tunes from around the globe to your frontal lobes. Bands that make you dance. Art that gets you involved, with friends that make you laugh. The Festival was created in 1993 from a campfire idea. It was on the home of Falls, the very farm at Lorne in Victoria where it is still held each year.

Sample Food Festival

Sample a taste of Northern New South Wales, is the premier food event for Northern NSW. It takes place on the 1st Saturday in September at the Bangalow Showgrounds, in the Byron Bay hinterland.

Since our debut festival in 2011, farmers, producers, chefs and a whole range of creative individuals from all corners of the region, have come together to share their wares, their passion and their knowledge.

Byron Writers Festival

Byron Writers Festival 2021 (2020 event cancelled)

For three days in August, 140 writers and thinkers will come together in Byron Bay to ponder the power of stories and the written word in shaping who we are. Now in its 24th year, Byron Writers Festival has become famous for its relaxed and friendly vibe, open-air beachside location and compelling conversations spanning a mix of genres including music, art, environment, philosophy, health, politics, human rights and of course memoir and fiction.

Splendour in the Grass

Considered to be Australia's biggest winter music festival, Splendour has evolved from a boutique one day festival held at Belongil Fields on the outskirts of Byron to a three day extravaganza of big name bands a new Australian music now held at North Byron Parklands, a dedicated site 15 minutes north of Byron.
