The walking tour is based in the eclectic heart of Byron Bay Industrial Estate. But we also want to tell the stories behind the food. Stories about how people came to work and live here. Above all, it's about enjoying great food and drinks in the process!
Winding your way around the Byron Arts & Industrial Estate, guests will feast on scrumptious delights, while being shown some of the quirkier sights and arts. You’ll experience everything from coffee, beer, rum, peanut butter, sauerkraut, sweet treats and eat at some of the eateries that are tucked in amongst the sheds.
Byron Foodies 100% supports the local foodies that are off the beaten track, featuring utterly sumptuous food made with local ingredients. You’ll meet the makers and learn more about Byron’s art, history and interesting facts. For the shoppers, they’ll be visits to local shops and galleries along the way.
There are two tours.
The signature Byron Foodies Tour runs (or rather walks) for the most part of 4 – 5 hours, starting at the sensible hour of 10.30am. Costs start at $175.
Then there is the Brew Cruisey Walk, where it’s all about the brews – the coffee, beer and spirits. Meet the makers and discover new brews, for $85 a ticket.
All Tours will embark Meeting at the Byron North Train Station -where guest are encouraged take the world’s first, no-emission solar train. And are all led by a local guide, so you’ll not get lost or led atray!
