Winter school holiday activities in Byron Bay

You are here

It's always good to have a few school holiday activities planned, with the cooler winter weather - most water activities aren't suited to kids.

Winter in Byron is also whale watching season - and a great time for beach or bush walks.

Here's a few ideas of the sort of activities suited to kids in and around Byron Bay this July school holidays.

Follow the magical Brunswick Heads Fairy Trail

There are a number of lovely little fairy houses tucked into interesting locations around Brunswick Heads. They are not placed in obvious places so that the surprise and joy in discovering them is maximised.

The fairy houses are beautiful sculptures made of recycled and found objects and each fairy house is occupied by a fairy that carries a positive message about living simply, being kind, being loving, and protecting nature.

A clue sheet is available at the Brunswick Heads Visitors Centre or can be downloaded from their website.
