This year, the July school holidays are a little different. NSW travel bans were only lifted in June, and there are still social distancing and other restrictions in place.
Still, there are plenty of family and kid friendly activities to enjoy in Byron Bay - here's a few to inspire you to get out and enjoy yourselves safely.
Whale watching
The Winter school holidays is the perfect opportunity to go whale spotting with the kids. Come and watch the whales make their way up the east coast as they head for warmer waters up north. The season runs from May through July and September through November.
Circus classes
Enjoy the fun and thrill of flying trapeze and circus classes these school holidays! Circus Arts Byron Bay will take kids on the adventure of their lives with amazing high flying trapeze, circus workshops and the ever popular Ninja classes for kids!
Farm Kids
The Farm Byron Bay hosts a range of kids activies over the July school holidays, including - the fascinating life of worms, magic medicinal herbs workshop, mini farmers program, cows workshop, love the planet workshop, bee workshop, and pigs workshop. Please note that Farm Kids will be adhering to all COVID 19 workplace health and safety guidelines.
Palace Cinemas Byron Bay
Re-opening in July with a month of new releases. And, added some additional operation procedures to ensure your comfort and safety. The recently refurbished Palace Cinema is located at 108 Jonson St, Byron Bay.
