Torakina Beach

You are here

Torakina is a sheltered, picturesque beach in Brunswick Heads. The hidden paradise is tucked away a short 5-minute walk from Brunswick’s laid-back café culture and a 20-minute drive from Byron Bay.

Nestled between the two break walls at the mouth of the beautiful Brunswick River, the human-made beach is almost always crystal-clear and swell-free, providing perfect swimming conditions for all.

The small strip of sand on the shore of Torakina is ideal for sunbathing, picnicking, and building sandcastles. A few spots on the sand are shaded by the surrounding trees – some of which are excellent for climbing.

The grassy bushland around Torakina, known as Torakina Park, offers picnic tables, toilets, taps, showers, and barbecues.
