Clarkes (Clark's) Beach Byron Bay

You are here

Situated between Main Beach and the Pass, Clarkes Beach is an idyllic north-facing beach with beachfront parking, amenities and Caravan Park.

The beach is a protected area, with near-perfect swimming conditions all year round, spoiled only by northerly winds. The waves are relatively small in the area and therefore many learn-to-surf programs take place at Clarkes. An extra surf-lifesaving team patrols the beach throughout the summer months.

Clarke’s beach provides ideal conditions for many water activities.

Humpback whales have also been known to frolic in the waters of the bay with their calves, as they head back to Antarctica in the wintertime.
