Combining physical yoga postures - all levels are catered for with assistants, twice daily yoga and a focus on restorative practice in the afternoons. Pranayama - breathing techniques, meditation, Yoga Nidra - guided relaxation, chanting, Dancing and theraputic healing sessions. It's a great way to deepen your personal practice, calm the mind and cleanse the body of toxins. All activities are optional so you can do as much or as little as you like. It's a perfect opportunity to reflect and re-evaluate your life purpose.

The Accommodation:

The retreat location is only 10 minutes from Byron Bay set in beautiful rainforest. There are Thai style cabins built amongst the trees with a 15 metre in ground pool which overlooks Tallows Beach down to Broken Head. Most cabins are twin and triple share with some single rooms available and all rooms are now air-conditioned.

The Food

We provide you with fresh organic juices, herbal teas and healthy gourmet vegetarian food to nourish and cleanse the body. All dietary requirements can be catered for.

Pampering treatments, holistic therapies, Colonics and healings are offered as optional extras so the choice is up to you. Guided meditation and nature activites are also available during the weekend. We like to use our tranquil environment to soothe the soul and lift our spirit. The mealtimes are in a lovely house with verandahs overlooking the ocean through the trees.

Sue discovered yoga 23 years ago and has practiced Iyengar Yoga in Sydney and completed a teacher training course in Byron Bay in Astanga and Hatha Yoga. The yoga is a combination of Iyengar style yoga and vinyasa flow with invited certified teachers instructing over the weekend.The retreats attract a wide range of participants and we provide individual attention to beginners and people with injuries or special needs.

Sue's journey has taken her from the high profile, fast paced life in Sydney as a TV Producer to her life now, as creator and instructor of Byron Bay Yoga.
