Some of the diverse rugged escarpments of Mt Jerusalem National Park form a backdrop to this unique setting of holiday accommodation. Toolond Plantation is at an altitude of 300 - 500 mtrs with views over rural valleys to the ocean.
- Bananas, avocados, palms and treeferns are grown on 20 acres amidst 100 acres of bushland.
- Spend time walking through the scrub, creeks, waterfalls and rainforest areas, with longer walks into the adjoining National Park.
- There are excellent abseiling sites.
- Observe natural reafforestation of old banana growing land, also 15 years of reafforestation management.
- Take short drives to World Heritage National Parks, local swimming holes or to the beautiful beaches of Brunswick Heads and Byron Bay.
- 4WD and mountain bike riding are popular local activities.
- If that all sounds too exhausting - put your feet up on the verandah and relax.
Your accommodation is a comfortable, self contained 3 bedroom house which accommodates 8 people. Children are very welcome. There are three seperate rooms for the shower, bath and toilet, and a seperate laundry. There are two verandahs, ceiling fans, reading lamps, TV, video, DVD, cot, gas bar-b-que and a log fire. Linen hire is available, blankets and pillows are provided.
The nights can be cool at this altitude, we suggest you bring warm clothing and sturdy walking shoes.
Try to plan your meals ahead to avoid shopping. There is a small shop 10 mins away for fresh bread, milk and papers, etc.
Tariff from $120/night, $750/week.
Bookings are held for seven days pending a receipt of a 50% deposit, balance outstanding is payable on arrival. A refund will be given if cancelled four weeks before the date of your stay.
