Southern Oceans and Rivers

Southern Oceans and Rivers are now offering Kayak River Tours on the Brunswick River under Mt. Chincogan or the Doon Doon River under Mt. Warning. The rivers, located in northern New South Wales between Byron Bay and Tweed Heads flow amongst Reserves and National Parks, only accessible by watercraft.

Kayaking is fun; a great form of exercise and it's easy. Our tours, led by a qualified guide, provide you with a low impact, high enjoyment nature experience along calm and sheltered waters. Abundant birdlife can be spotted including birds of prey, waders and kingfishers amongst the eucalypts, hoop pines and mangroves - the nursery ground for many types of fish.

The colourful journeys are half day trips taking approx. four hours. Quality stable tandem kayaks, life jackets, paddles, bottled spring water, fresh fruits and homemade cake are provided. The tours are run in the morning or afternoon and transport can be arranged.
