Dunoon

Another small village that is much 'bigger' than it first appears. Dunoon calls itself the "Macadamia Capital of Australia". A macadamia processing plant on the village's outskirts employs locals and offers visitors an eclectic and delicious range of macadamia-based products that are now offered on the world market.

Dunoon is the gateway to Rocky Creek dam, which supplies drinking water to the area. Although swimming is prohibited here, Rocky Creek is a beautiful picnic spot where the kids can run around, and there's an informative nature walk across the dam wall and into the forest.
