Coorabell
Another locality that is really just a name on the map, Coorabell is on the Coolamon Scenic Drive, which stretches along the ridgeline from St Helena near Bangalow all the way down to Mullumbimby. The view from up here is truly spectacular: over the farming and grazing country to the coast, with Cape Byron punctuating the distance on the one side; and across the verdant lands housing working farms, cottage industries and hideaway guesthouses on the other.
Coorabell itself is little more than a primary school and a hall, but the drive is well worthwhile for the views, and the delights of the hinterland.
