Fishheads Restaurant and Takeaway, a Byron Bay experience not to be missed. We serve fresh seafood in our beachside restaurant or convenient takeaway.

We are located at Main Beach just 20 metres from the Pacific Ocean overlooking the mountains and the Cape Byron Lighthouse.

The Restaurant, housed in the original Bathers Pavilion was built in 1951. The light open interior with cool polished concrete floors spill out onto the beachfront deck for breakfast, lunch and sunset dining.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to fresh quality food, friendly, knowledgeable service and a dining experience you won’t forget. Either relax in our Restaurant with a bottle of wine or order some takeaway and amble over to the beach. You can even enjoy takeaway with the children at the pool where there is an onsite lifeguard at all times. We also cater for children in the restaurant, the choice is yours.

Special Events

Have our experienced team co-ordinate your special event. We can offer menus to suit your group and cater for all dietary requirements.

Fishheads can offer separate dining inside or out, or the entire Restaurant which seats 70 guests comfortably. Our BYO licence enables you to supply your own beverages; we can even arrange delivery in advance if you like.
