Mount Warning – Wollumbin

My brother & I climbed Mt Warning (1,157m), it is a fairly strenuous ‘walk’. It took us 4 hours round trip (up and down). The last 50-100m is a steep rock climb with a chain for support. Here’s a clip.

In India, they say that if you drop a pebble off any building, it will land on a philosopher.

In Byron Bay, a more appropriate claim is that if you shake any tree, a hundred healers will fall from its branches.

Byron Bay Writers Festival

Each year - the Byron Bay Writers Festival provides locals and visitors with plenty of culture... However - I saw one "writer" on TV (14 July) tell people that Byron was ruined and had David Jones, Grace Brothers and $4.00 lattes'... what a load of crap, this is total misinformation motivated by the "tall poppy syndrome". (not that there's anything wrong with Australian Department Stores).

Belongil Beach Dreaming

The bush was dew-drenched, tinselled with spiders’ webs and ringing with euphonic birdsong. My cheerful anticipation was well-founded, for the morning produced some rich encounters.
