Byron Bay on the new Monopoly board?

In Australia, the game of Monopoly is asking for people to ‘vote’ for destinations to appear on their new “Here & Now” Monopoly board.

I think it’s a great use of the Internet AND a good way to generate interest in their new board… I remember using the monopoly website to get instructions for Junior Monopoly about 8 years ago when I ‘lost’ the instructions to my daughters new game - which at the time I also thought was a great use of the Internet.

Anyway - apart from me now being impressed two times with the Monopoly website, I also think it would be cool to have Byron Bay on the game board.

So - be sure to vote, you can vote once a day till February 10th.

Visit : www.monopoly.com.au and follow the instructions -it’s easy -no registration.

Byron Bay Community Market : 7th January 2007

The Romaniacs and Juzzi Smith will keep everyone entertained from 10am to 3pm, and buskers will perform throughout the day.

There will plenty for the kids to do with candle making, plaster craft, tie dying plus a bouncing castle, merry-go-round and pony rides.

Hundreds of craft stalls as well as fresh local produce and delicious food and drinks.

NOTE THE SPECIAL DATE - The 2nd Sunday of the month

Mount Warning - Wollumbin

My brother & I climbed Mt Warning (1,157m), it is a fairly strenuous ‘walk’. It took us 4 hours round trip (up and down). The last 50-100m is a steep rock climb with a chain for support.

Here’s a clip;

We enjoyed it. Mt Warning is a World Heritage listed National Park located about a one hour drive from Byron Bay (12km from Murwillumbah).
