Brunswick Heads Kites & Bikes Festival
The streets and skies of Brunswick Heads will come alive on Sunday 5 of November, 2006 for the 5th annual Kites and Bikes Festival.
The day is packed full of visual treats, kite-making and bike-maintenance workshops, rides, kite displays, decorated bike parade, stalls, food, live entertainment and loads more activities for fun lovers and thrill seekers of all ages to enjoy in the sparkling sunshine.
Giant kites of all shapes and sizes will be flown at the beach as Michael Richards and his team from Kite Magic will again bring some of Australia’s largest kites! Come down and fly your own kite or better still, make your own kite! Kite making and decorating workshops will be running all day in the housie shed for adults and children.
This year we are planning exhibitions of bike and skateboard tricks to wow the whole family! There will be bike safety, prizes for decorated bikes in several categories as well as road closures for kid’s riding pleasure!
