The Bamboo Cottage B & B is a charming 1930's beach cottage, which has been cleverly renovated into a beautiful small guesthouse, perfectly located in a secluded street. It offers quality 3 1/2 star accommodation to the budget conscious travellers.

You can unwind with music, books, magazines, T.V and board games in the lounge. Cook up a fun meal on our barbeque with fellow travellers or prepare something healthy in the kitchen.

The original wooden floors, picture rails, high airy ceilings, French doors, rustic brick fireplace and yummy country kitchen, have been cleverly blended with tasteful modern comforts and an Asian/Pacific flair. To start your day

From the first of September when summer comes many guests prefer to experience Byron's fabulous restaurants for breakfast, so we do not include this in the rate. If however you would like a light breakfast at home then wake up when you feel like it, help yourself to brekky and enjoy it on the decks surrounded by lush, exotic, Balinese gardens, walkways and fountains. Just put $5 pp in the cow!! Borrow a body board and chair for a day at the beach. Bike around the bay or if you prefer, laze in our hammock under our old Bunya Tree.

Things to do and see

From the Bamboo Cottage, wake up to the sound of the surf and within 6 minutes, be soaking up the sunshine or be swimming and snorkelling in the big blue sea with our stunning all year good weather. Just 300 meters away is the buzz of Byron and its relaxed seaside ambience mixing with locals, celebrities, holiday makers and a meeting pot of international travellers. Perhaps indulge in the atmosphere of the cafe scene, the galleries, unique shops, clubs, pubs, movies, restaurants and community events. The popular Byron Markets are just down the street... the first Sunday of every month.

All beautiful things are within walking distance of the cottage. Via the breathtaking sandy sweep of Byron's Bay and Broad walks, a "must do"is a visit to Byron's iconic lighthouse and back through the rainforest. Another natural rainforest walk is close behind the cottage. Also about 400 meters away is the famous Arts factory with great entertainment, restaurant bar, cafe and unique movie theatre.

Watch the Whales (June to November), kayak with the dolphins or visit Circus Arts to fly on trapeze. Try to parachute, hang-glide, scuba dive, balloon etc. The list is endless. Further a field, visit unusual Nimbin, climb Mt Warning for the sunrise, go to the Gold Coast to see Seaworld, Movieworld, Dreamworld or create your own special world here in the bay. Our local knowledge ensures guests have the best choices for their holiday and we are 3 minutes to the tourist bureau.

CANCELLATION CONDITIONS

• A minimum of 30 days notice of written cancellation (or part cancellation) is required for a refund in full.
• Between 29 days and 14 days... 1 nights accommodation is charged
• Between 14 days and day of arrival... the full cost of booking is charged.
However, all attempts will be made to relet the room and a refund will be made for any part that is relet... less expenses.
• Expenses are cleaning, commission, administration.
• For all peak periods ie. East Coast Blues Festival, Splendour in the Grass, Christmas & New Year, we require a non-refundable 50% deposit at the time of booking, followed by the normal conditions mentioned above.
• For your peace of mind, we recommend travel insurance.
• NB. Please note: Giving credit card details to secure a booking, implies that a legally binding contract has taken place. Should you break your contract or neglect to cancel your booking for any reason, your credit card will be debited.
